SYSTEM TYPES

Wireless SecurityWIRELESS SECURITY SYSTEMS
Wireless security systems are typically used when your home or business is already finished. All of the sensors communicate with the security panel or brain wirelessly. Information from each sensor communicates on a special frequency that is unique to the system. A battery powers the device. Most batteries will typically last between two to five years and usually can be replaced easily by the user. When a sensor has a low battery, the system’s arm/disarm keypad will let you know which battery is low. The wireless system is a great option for most applications.

HARDWIRED SECURITY SYSTEMS
Hardwired security systems have a wire attached to each sensor. Each wire is pulled to the location of the security panel or brain of the system. Hardwired security systems are usually used in new construction. Our technicians will pre-wire your home or business before the drywall is installed. After the drywall and painting is complete, a technician will return to install the sensors and devices and activate the system.

HYBRID SECURITY SYSTEMS
Hybrid security systems are a combination of a hardwired system and a wireless system. Hybrid systems are common in homes or businesses where there is an area of unfinished space. For an example, if your home has an unfinished basement, our technicians can usually install wired devices to most of the doors and other sensors which we can fish a wire. The areas of the home where a wire can’t be run, a wireless sensor can be used.
